English Week Report

Our Spring Festival has been simple, but motivating this year. From 2nd to 4tth May, we were immersed in activities concerning Spring and the Olympic Games. Worthy to be mentioned are the theatre performances by first, second and third Primary School children.

FIRST DAY CELEBRATION (Wednesday 2nd April)
Spring decoration on the playground wall, the children in Nursery School disguised with spring motives – How cute!! -, our Maypole in the middle of one of the three big circles organized. Then we sang for the spring welfare, we danced around the Maypole, and we sang and mimed our happiness. This was for Nursery and Primary School.

SECOND DAY CELEBRATION (Thursday 3rd April)
In the afternoon, Primary School children in first, second and third year did marvelous performances of short theatre plays for Nursery students. The silence in the corridor leading to the Auditorium when they were acting was a sign of how well they were doing.

THIRD DAY CELEBRATION (Friday 4th April)
The stars on this third day were the children in Nursery School again. This time, they sang and mimed for their parents in the Auditorium: half an hour performance to display some songs of the repertory that had accompanied their learning along the year and, by the way, to show how good they are in pronunciation.

To summarize, we would like to highlight that we are proud the way our students gain self-confidence with the English Language. Can you imagine them having quite long, understandable conversations before spectators, with, at least, correct pronunciation? It is simply impressive.
English is becoming a natural communication language in our school. The efforts done to the achievement of this goal are great and sometimes very hard, we recognize. We just want to thank everybody in our school community for the successful path we are already stepping on.
